Even The Wind And The Sea Obey!

May 3rd, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Ann Stewart Wind storms, snow storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons, tsunamis, you name it, they seem to be everywhere these days! And, yes, they are more frequent and dangerous than ever before. The whole world is clamoring for climate change and trying to figure out what to do about it. The Bible has this to say about the multitude of severe weather calamities all over the world: “there shall be earthquakes in diverse places, and there shall be famines and troubles.” (Mark 13: 8; Mat. 24: 7) That does not sound good, does it? Nor do I see anywhere in the Word that weather patterns will reverse and improve! In order to take the above verse in context, you will notice that both gospels prefix that same verse with: “see that ye be not troubled.” God never gives a glimpse into the future without also giving you a way out! No matter what happens all around you, He never leaves you forsaken! He has provided a Way! Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. (John 14: 6) He has given you His Spirit, who indwells you, if you have made Him Lord of your life. Through the Holy Spirit, who is your link to God, you can do whatever Jesus did, and whatever you ask in His Name, that He will do! (John 14: 12-13) So, let’s have a look at how Jesus weathered storms in His earthly ministry. When He got caught in a severe storm, which flooded the ship, he was fast asleep on a pillow! The disciples were very afraid. They woke Him up, incredulously asking why He did not care that they were about to drown. Jesus calmly stood up, rebuked the wind, and told the sea to be still. Instantly the wind stopped and the sea became very calm. Then He simply asked the men why they had been so fearful and had no faith! They just couldn’t believe it; in fact, they feared even more, wondering how even the wind and the sea obeyed Him! (Mark. 4: 37-41) Jesus spoke and did everything that He heard the Father tell Him through the Holy Spirit in Him. (John 14: 10) He fully expected the disciples, to whom He had given power to “tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10: 19) The disciples had a lot of experience praying for miracles. When they delivered people from devils, they did as they had seen Jesus do, commanding them to go. They did not say a little prayer, asking God to please deliver these folks. No, they had to take the authority given to them and speak it to the situation. I can only surmise that they had up until that stormy night not applied their God-given authority to themselves and their own situations. In the ship they did not pray for themselves, and did not realize that they had the authority to rebuke the evil force that was about to kill them all. Jesus was their example; he slept in total peace throughout the storm. Why? Because He relied wholly on God; He was in total faith. He waited for them to take authority. When they did not, He showed them how, explaining at the same time how they needed to excercise their faith. What do you do when thunderstorms and the like threaten your life? Do you prepare spiritually as well as you may do physically by storing emergency supplies and back-up power? Are you aware that the Power and Authority within you are infinitely more powerful than any force of nature? The Word of God is Truth. If it worked for the disciples, it works for you. How do I know? Because I do it; and it works! Even my pastor laughingly tells folks, ‘if you don’t want rain on your wedding day, call Ann!’ I describe in my book how that it poured on the day of my daughters’ double wedding, but it did not come near us. Every time my husband and I need to travel through rain, I command the rain to stop in the mighty Name of Jesus whenever we leave or arrive at our destination. It may be pouring cats and dogs on the way, but when I assist him in or out with his wheelchair, miraculously it stops every time! Whenever storms threaten power outages, I always pray that there will be light in Goshen. Just as God saved the land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived, from all the terrible plagues of Egypt,(Ex. 7 - 11) so will He save your ‘Goshen’ in the midst of tempests all around you! As Jesus taught, it’s all about faith, and faith needs to be exercised. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. (Rom. 10: 17) Be encouraged, therefore. Read the Word diligently and start applying it to your life. God’s Word does not return unto Him void; but shall accomplish what He pleases! (Isa. 55: 11) If God said it; I believe it; and that settles it! How about you? Wireless Jargon / Glossary

May 1st, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jason_Keno]Jason Keno Wireless networking, like so many things in life — and especially the ones that have anything to do with computers — is filled with jargon. Hi-tech babble baffles many Don’t be intimidated, though: here’s a quick computer-speak to English guide to help you out. 802.11. The name of the wireless networking standard, set by the IEEE. Ensures that wireless devices are interoperable. Driver. A piece of computer software that tells the computer how to talk to devices that are plugged into it. For wireless networking, the drivers you need to install will come on a CD with any equipment you buy. Ethernet. The most common way of connecting to a LAN. Any wires you might have connecting your computers together now are Ethernet wires, and the cable connecting your modem to your computer is probably an Ethernet wire too. Ghz. Gigahertz. A measurement of frequency — one gigahertz is one billion cycles per second. You may recognise the measurement from computer processor speeds, which are now also measured in Ghz. IEEE. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In charge of the wireless networking standard, as well as many other computer-related standards (including the Ethernet standard). They ensure that computer equipment made by different manufacturers can work together. Interoperable. Means that two pieces of equipment are compatible — you can use them together, because they stick to the standards. You should not get any wireless equipment that isn’t interoperable. LAN. Local Area Network. A network that is generally confined to one building, such as a home or office. A wireless LAN is also known as a WLAN. Linux. An alternative operating system to Windows. Computers running Linux can run many programs and connect to the Internet without needing Windows. Linux is free to download and you are allowed to give it to friends to use. A lot of wireless devices run Linux, or are compatible with it. MAN. Metropolitan Area Network. A network that covers a larger area, for example a town or city. Wireless MANs (men?) spread Internet access all over the area, but are expensive to set up. They are sometimes used on university campuses. Mbps. Megabits per second, a measurement of connection speed. Not to be confused with MBps, megabytes per second. There are eight megabits in a megabyte. PAN. Personal Area Network. These are networks made up of devices connected together in one small area. For example, your computer with a USB keyboard and mouse connected is a PAN. PANs can be wireless, using a technology called Bluetooth. PCI. Peripheral Component Interconnect. This is a way of installing new devices inside your computer, such as graphics cards and network devices. If you want to install a wireless card inside your computer, you will be using PCI. PCMCIA. Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (some say it should stand for ‘People Can’t Memorise Computer Industry Acronyms’). A standard for plugging credit card-sized devices into a laptop, to give it extra capabilities. PCMCIA is a great way of adding wireless networking to your laptop as easily as inserting a disk. USB. Universal Serial Bus. A port used for connecting all sorts of devices to a computer, including keyboards, mice, printers, external drives, and almost anything else you can think of. If you don’t want to open up your computer and you don’t have a laptop, you can get a USB wireless device. WAN. Wide Area Network. A network that is connected over more than one physical site, such as a business that has its computers in two countries connected on one network. The Internet, for example, is a WAN — the biggest WAN in the world. WEP. Wired Equivalent Privacy. The old standard for encrypting wireless networks. Unfortunately, it was found to be insecure back in 2001, and so should no longer be used. WPA. Wi-Fi Protected Access. Basically an upgrade of WEP to fix its security problems. WPA-encrypted networks change their encryption method often, to avoid becoming vulnerable, and also shut down for thirty seconds if they detect a suspected attack. Potential Solution To The Dangers of Silicone Implants

April 28th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Ricardo Silva Breast enhancements have always been a popular cosmetic surgery procedure, but the safety of silicone implants was always a bit dubious. A new form of silicone implants may offer a solution. Cosmetic surgery is a very talked-about topic these days, and the procedure that’s most in the forefront of many people’s minds is breast augmentation. Many women and men have strong opinions on this type of surgery, some good and some bad. While it can be said that some people take breast implantation too far, it can also be seen that for some people, it’s a necessary surgery. Whether it’s done for reconstructive reasons or for cosmetic issues, breast augmentation is performed much the same way. Breast augmentation usually involves cutting into the breast in one of several ways, and then placing an implant into the breast to add volume and shape. In 1992, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned silicone implants (except for in reconstructive surgeries), because of fears that they could rupture and leak silicone into the body. This silicone leakage was found in some patients to cause illness throughout the body and also distort the shape of the breast. Since 1992, the vast majority of implants done in the United States have been saline filled. These have the advantage of not leaking potentially toxic silicone into the body if they rupture, but they do not look as full or natural as silicone implants. A new item that is currently being tested for breast augmentation is a new form of silicone implants. The implants contain the same silicone as before, but the silicone contained in the implant is firmer. If the implant ruptures, the gel will not ooze out of the implant, and it will not affect the rest of the body. This type of implant is currently being used in medical trials by cosmetic surgeons in three separate studies in the US. . Aside from not being as likely to leak, there are other advantages to these new silicone implants. They look as realistic and stay in as good shape as traditional silicone breast implants. The thicker silicone inside does not migrate around in the shell of the implant, so the doctors can craft a breast shape and the implant will stay that way. This is an important development given the fact that saline implants have met with criticism. They simply dont produce the shape or consistency of traditional silicone implants. The new, thicker silicone implants look to be the wave of the future for breast augmentation. If the medical trials go well, they should be available to the general public within a few years. Online Christian Dating Web Sites

April 26th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Vic Bilson As the popularity of Internet use has grown, so have online dating web sites. No longer are you limited to meeting people through traditional means: blind dates, setups, meeting through friends and colleagues, and of course bar and club hopping. Today, you have a whole new way to meet that special someone outside the select group of people you already know. There are more than 700 dating services online in the United States alone and new sites are cropping up weekly. Within the online dating community there are now a large number of Christian dating sites on the Internet. The reason behind the growing number of Christian dating sites is the desire of Christian singles to find a companion who believes in the same values as them. Without these websites, Christians find it very difficult to find other Christian singles. When a Christian visits a Christian dating site, then he or she is definitely looking for a partner with the same religious beliefs and one who will respect their feelings and hold similar beliefs while following a certain code of conduct during the courtship period. Christian dating sites are a safe meeting point for people, who are looking for a lifelong companionship or just meeting new people beyond their existing acquaintances. Christian dating sites are a perfect platform for single Christians to get familiar with each other and plan a meeting in the future, if their likes and dislikes are similar. Online dating web sites offer real time chat, web-blogs, instant messaging, emailing, profiling, and telephone access. Registered participants can use these services in order to communicate further and get to know each other better. This allows you to learn more about the dating web site and whether its members are true Christians who follow the principals of Christianity, oftentimes before spending your money. Some Christian dating sites offer free counsel for Christians to date within the realms of Christianity. Theses websites also contain anecdotes from experienced people, regarding their dating experience or on subjects like marriage or staying single. An important thing to watch out for on Christian dating sites is the knowledge of the fact that every site proclaiming to be a Christian dating site is not necessarily a true Christian site or being run by a religious group. It may be owned and run by the same people who run other unfavorable dating sites. You must thoroughly check and understand what to watch out for on Christian dating sites. Only then, should you sign up or be a member of that site. If any of the following is not a part of a site, you can pass it off as a false Christian dating site. A clear and proper privacy policy assuring that your personal information will be kept safe and secure and will not be shared with anyone. A true Christian dating site will surely have a `Declaration of faith. A proper contact address, so that you can clarify any doubts, that you may have. A positive overall outlook of the website. There are many advantages in using an online dating site. First is the convenience. Online dating web sites offer information access at the tip of your fingers. You can post a profile, a picture, browse members of the website and often receive emails at absolutely no cost. You only pay the online dating web site when you want to write back to someone or initiate first contact. Visit Best Single Dating for articles and advice about dating online. Traditional Chinese Medicine Better

April 24th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Alexandra Geerlings Is Traditional Chinese Medicine better? Well, the answer is no! You can not say that one is better then the other, They work both together, next to each other. They work both separate, where Western therapy has no answers, Traditional can! And vice versa. The approach towards the illness is totally different. In Western perspective the attention lays on the problem areas and symptoms, in traditional medicine, they will approach the illness totally different. For example in Traditional Chinese Medicine the problem will be searched beyond the symptoms, because the source will be cured, the symptoms will vanish in most cases. Traditional Chinese Medicine watches the total of the human; body, mind and circumstances. This is one of the reasons why TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is often used in a preventive way. A TCM therapist says keeping a right balance, prevents you from becoming ill. Where there is a lack of balance in the body (like too less or too much) the body will react on it. With other words you can say that complaints from the body (pain, being tired, coldness etc.) are all warnings that there is something wrong with your life style or this in combination with your circumstances. For example: You can not expect from a person who has a profession as a singer, that this person will use the voice less, it is the job of the TCM therapist, to re-balance the body and energy pattern of this person in a way that the profession of this person (in this case singing) will not give complications to the body after many times using the voice in an excessive way. Other examples of chronicle pains that lately seem to appear often due to a different life style and changing circumstances are: Different kind of headaches, mouse arm, overweight, back problems etc. Of course TCM is not holy, it is also not witchcraft. A good TCM therapist will always forward you to a Western doctor for a diagnose. TCM is therefore very good for people with chronicle pains and chronicle illness. Where Western medication has no answer, it can be treated or relieved by Traditional Medicine. There are many ways of Alternative medication of course. You can find a list at www.prevital.nll where you can find several different kind of therapies. What doesnt work for one person, can be perfect for somebody else. Five Tips for Landing Your Dream Job

April 22nd, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Liz Ryan Do you ever waste a half hour day-dreaming about your dream job? The good news is that real people do get Dream Jobs every day. But you have to go after your Dream Job - it’s unlikely to come to you. Here are five tips for zeroing in on your Dream Job, and getting it. 1) First off, decide what’s important to you. What kind of environment and work makes you happy? Too many people are doing jobs that they fell into out of college and never left - maybe they’ve changed their actual jobs, but the industry and/or function hasn’t changed. There are a lot of great careers out there. It’s never too late to rediscover yourself! A quick online tool like the DiSC (widely available) can help you figure out what kinds of work environments will make your heart beat faster. 2) Instead of sitting online reading the job listings, talk to people around you (at the gym, at church, or people you meet through an online networking group like WorldWIT, www.worldwit.org) about their career choices. You’ll find out about career options you never knew existed! Just yesterday, I had lunch with a woman who is an expert in WBE (woman-owned business) certification for entrepreneurs, but is also a handwriting analysis expert and a botanical illustrator. There are lots of other unusual combinations of talents out there. You’d be amazed at how your professional skills and your passion can be combined in a career you may never have heard of! 3) Once you have an idea of what you want to do, sit down with a piece of paper and draw a logical ‘roadmap’ between what you’ve done and what you want to do. If you’ve been an Accountant, for instance, and want to get a job running an art gallery, think about the skills you’ve acquired that will lend themselves to the role you want. Your goal is not only to develop a pitch for prospective employers (about why they should hire you), but also to convince yourself that you really have what it takes to make a leap to your dream job! 4) In making a career switch, you have to network like a fanatic. It’s okay if you’ve never networked before. Create a profile on LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com ) and connect to people you know who also use that site for networking. Re-connect with former colleagues, people you went to school with, the parents of your kids’ school friends - everyone. Make networking a priority in your Dream Job search - the benefits are extraordinary. 5) As you begin to interview for your Dream Job, keep in mind why you’re making your move in the first place. Speak your truth at every job interview: don’t get pushed into that “smile and say what you don’t mean” corner that so many corporate people suffer in every day. It’s not a dream job if you can’t be yourself. Put yourself out there, with every person you meet. It’s a new day - Dream Jobs are everywhere. You just have to get a hammer and start building. Can Pay Per View Help You Get A Better Hair Style?

April 20th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Perriann Rodriguez Have you ever taken a hair styles photo to your hair stylist and asked for the exact same cut, only to be disappointed with the results? Many times, the reason for such a situation is that a lot of hair stylists do not have the time or money to attend hair cutting education and training programs or to purchase very expensive training videos to learn the latest techniques for trendy and sometimes complicated hair styles of today. Francesco Rizzuto, founder of www.hair-brain.com, conducted four focus groups and determined without exception that hair stylists conveyed that they all wanted the education, but they all wanted it to fit into their lives and budget. He adds that there are a lot of single moms in the hair industry that simply cannot afford to attend high quality classes or shows, some of them even live in areas where traveling to get to a class is not an option. Rizzuto analyzed his marketing research and decided to investigate opening a video store with affordable rental training tapes. He says, If hairdressers had access to current hair education on a rental basis, then they would be more enticed to learn and be motivated. After exploring the concept of a video store further, Rizzuto discovered that there would not be enough current material out there to fill a video store. The content that was available was old, outdated or very expensive. And then a light bulb went on and the idea of a Pay Per View video hair instructional website was born. Anyone anywhere in the world could view the instructional videos online for a very reasonable fee and apply what they had learned immediately. So the website www.hair-brain.com was developed and officially launched in July 2005. Rizzuto, a salon owner, hairdresser, fashion photographer and educator, also decided to film his own content. Each 15-20 minute video takes about 3 hours to film and a few more hours to edit. The videos, which cost $6.95 to view once, are primarily education based, and sometimes mention certain tools or products that work well with the hair styles they are creating. They last between 15 and 20 minutes and can only be viewed once. Basically what Hair-Brain offers is the ability to get the education without having to buy the video at a considerable cost. Most hairdressers agree that once they see how its done they have no need for the video. With Hair-Brain they can look at it as if its a rental, although the movie presentations are available for purchase at a very low cost, $17.95USD. Rizzuto hand picks all of the educators that present the videos on the site based on their outstanding work in the industry. Some are well known, such as Martin Parsons, and corporate educators such as Schwarzkopf. Currently there are about thirty video presentations to choose from on the website, and Rizzuto plans to add about 30 more by the end of the year. Some of the topics available include the tousled look, mid length cut, retro fashion Mohawk, layers with long hair, shine and texture, Spanish look with extensions, texturizing short hair, heavy layered cut, hair color, wedding updo and 5 tail chignon among many others. The training videos are not limited to hair instruction, as there is a video by Dr. John Arlette where he demonstrates Botox and Fillers. By observing these before and after videos, consumers can make a more informed choice with respect to non surgical procedures. Rizzuto has included Dr. John Arlette as an educator because Botox fits into the Hair-Brain.com format of education plus beauty. Future videos will include techniques for hair extensions for professionals and consumers, perming, barbering, coloring, bridal looks, braiding, ethnic hair and straightening just to name of few. They also plan to endorse and perhaps retail quality tools of the trade that are mentioned on the site. Although Hair-Brain was first designed for the professional hairdresser, Rizzuto mentions that he is finding on occasion that the consumer is logging on to find a look that they like. Recently, a woman wrote us to let us know that she found the perfect look for her wedding on Hair-Brain.com (Martin Parsons Wedding Band updo featured on the site currently). She was going to tell her hairdresser to go to the site and learn it so he could do it for her wedding day, Rizzuto says. Rizzuto says so far www.hair-brain.com has been a great success. We are getting clients from the USA, Canada, UK, Japan and even Brazil. Once of our clients recently purchased one of each of our videos, he adds. Salon Magazines (Canada) publisher Laura Dunphy wrote in her editorial Back to school (September issue) that www.hair-brain.com is A brilliant solution for hairdressers. In short, pay per view CAN help you get a better hair style. The education and training videos are available 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world and all for a low price. It is designed by hairstylists for hairstylists. For the price of a large gourmet coffee today, you can be a better hairdresser tomorrow. Is your hair stylist a Hair Brain? Francesco Rizzuto is 44 years old and has been in the hair industry since 1978 when he started hair design school in Toronto, Canada. After graduation, he worked as an assistant at Vidal Sassoon and was awarded the position of Junior Stylist after one year of very hard work. Eventually he worked his way up to chief educator. Education is a very big part of the Vidal Sassoon Formula. Francesco has fulfilled his vision of creating an affordable, accessible, and most importantly, effective educational tool for beauty industry professionals, fashion enthusiasts, and the general public. Currently he juggles his schedule as a salon owner, hairdresser, fashion photographer and educator. Hair-Brain.com offices are currently located in Calgary, Alberta in Canada. Nail Beautification - How To Do Up Your Nails

April 19th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Michael Douglas Flashy talons covered with nail art can complete festive look. Green, red, white and lots of glitter is what will make you glitter through party days. Play with colours and let the girl in you bring out the ‘creativity, showing off your femininity by wearing nail art on your nails. You don’t need long talons to carry the nail art. Nail art can be applied to both natural nails and nail enhancements, short or long. Show off your artistically painted nails, covered with glitter and shimmer; making everyone dazzle with your diamond encrusted nails. To get into the festive mood you need not go with loud colours, glitter or rhinestones. You can develop your own ideas and themes. You have the choice to stick to floral, line art, geometrics, art scenes, using dried flowers and setting rhinestone on to your nail paint. It is entirely up to you if you want to add a bit of colour or go wild? If you are a flower lover then let the fabulous floral designs create your own personalised garden! The great thing about nail art is that you can choose any design and let your imagination be the limit. All that matters in nail art is lots of practice and patience. So, pick up your brush and start painting now for the big day. You even have the choice to match the colour, the print of your outfit, or have the same nail theme in different colours - choice is entirely yours! You have the choice of using water colours as nail paint; just remember sealing them with a top coat for that glossy finished look. A perfect way of matching the nail shades with your outfit when the nail polish colour is not available. Mix the correct colour to match your outfit and let your artistic abilities shine by painting the same pattern. The best of nail colours can be put to shame if the shape and nail plate is not in good condition. The nail polish will fail to give the desired smooth shiny result if the nails are not well kept. In short, the ‘canvas’ that you are going to paint on must be smooth and well shaped. Smoothness can be easily achieved with a leather buffer used on the nail, point to remember here is that the buffing strokes must be done towards the free edge - i.e. in the direction of the nail growth. Never use steel files or nail cutters to cut nails as they can damage the nail plates resulting in shattering and causing grooves. Always use a generous helping of cuticle cream to remove the dead skin and hang nails around your cuticles. Use an orange stick covered with wool to push the skin back to give that extra protection. KEEP IN MIND A well-prepared clean and clear nail is what you need to start with. Two things that you need to really keep in mind before you start is a good manicure and your choice and quality of nail colour really matters. You have the host of nail paints to choose from, from neutrals and bright to shimmers and glitters. The selection of your paint should be seductive, loud colours that should suit the shortest of nails as well. The top coat, being the final coat, must leave a highly glossy finished look. Colours to paint nails: There are no special paints, just ordinary poster colours that are used in decorating the nails. Use a stripper brush to make straight or curved lines. A dotting tool or a tooth pick to lay those intricate designs on the nails. Make sure you start painting only when the coats of nail polish are fully dried and there is a base coat underneath to protect your nail plate. Once you have created the design of your choice, allow it to dry and always seal the design with the sealant coat. You could incorporate the designs with dried flowers, rhinestones, bindis, etc. How to use dried flowers: Manicure the nails, make sure you get rid off the creams and oils stuck on your nails for best sticking results. Apply a blob of sealing coat to the area you want to place the flower, pick up the flower with the tweezers and gently press on to where you have put the blob of sealing coat and hold in place. Wait for it to dry. Apply any additional dots with the dotting tool or a tooth pick. Use a stripper brush for those long strokes of paint. Apply a thin top coat to seal the design and dry it well. Use bindis as nail stickers: Clean the surface of the nail to remove all traces of dirt and oil. Choose the design and size that you wish to use, also whether you want to use it on painted or plain nails. With the help of tweezers lift the bindi and place it on the nail, press it firmly anchoring it with a sealing coat. Apply two coats to seal the bindi in firmly and repeat the process on all the rest of the fingers. You can mix and match dots or lines to create a pattern around the bindis or even sprinkle some fine glitter on wet sealing coat. For those dazzling nails: Paint your nails with subdued or flashy colours or you have the choice to leave them natural. If you wish to go with the classic look then pale colour is your best bet. Cover the entire nail with a top coat, use tweezers or the moistened orange stick to pick and place the rhinestone on the wet coat of nail enamel or top coat. Let it dry and finish with another sealing coat. Here, I must add that rhinestones combined with French manicured nails look absolutely smashing, especially for ladies who go for the classic looks. If you don’t wish to have sparkish talons then this is the best option for you. Now, that I have made clear the fundamentals of nail art and know-how for you to master the skill, it’s time for you to showcase your designs to the world. Designer Bridal Gowns

April 16th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Ross Bainbridge Nothing beats designer bridal gowns when it comes to workmanship and uniqueness. These couture wedding dresses are definitely on every brides wish list, but their prohibitive price tags keep most brides from getting their hands on them. If you have the budget for one, however, then why not treat yourself? More than the prestige and glamour, the main reason that women buy designer bridal wear is for quality and inimitability. Designer bridal gowns are made with natural fabrics that let your skin breathe, which is not always the case with off-the-rack dresses. And unlike ready-made gowns, a designer bridal gown is molded to flatter your figure. You can be fitted for the right trim, silhouette, and length. The gown can therefore highlight the areas you want to show off, and hide the areas you want to conceal. When you choose to buy couture bridal wear, you will likewise get to personally pick out the fabric and dictate the detailing. The dress will be one-of-a-kind, causing you to feel extra-special on your wedding day. There is a huge difference between the price of ready-made gowns and their designer counterparts, and you should seriously factor this in before going for the latter. A ready-to-wear dress can cost as little as $500, but couture prices start at about $3,000 and go as high as $9,000 or even more (depending on the length of time it takes to finish one, the type of fabric and the detailing). Keep in mind that a wedding is no reason to go broke. Dont buy an expensive gown if you cannot afford it. Instead, buy your gown from specialty stores that offer designer-inspired versions which look just as good as the original designs, but are made with less expensive fabrics. This might be the perfect choice if you want a gorgeous gown for a fraction of the cost. Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Yoga Teaching Service, Part 4

April 13th, 2008 by toriemarcelissen

By Paul Jerard The Internet is not everything when it comes to marketing your Yoga business. You cannot achieve 100% marketing penetration by using Email marketing and having a top-ranked site on every possible search engine. What do I mean? When it comes to advertising, and marketing, your web site is only part of your marketing mix. You should always remember there is no single magic bullet. Spread your area of influence, with the money you save, by advertising on the Internet. You can do this by testing offline methods that are cost effective for your Yoga business. Lets look at another way to get more business for your Yoga teaching services, without breaking the bank. Develop an inside referral program for new Yoga students, and create referral incentives among your regular Yoga students. This is low cost and you only pay for results. Instead of waiting for referrals to just happen, you encourage them to happen frequently, with rewards for bringing in new members. Give away guest passes to all your Yoga students. Have them sign their name on the back, so you know where the referral came from. When the new referral signs up for at least an 8-class package, you reward the person whose name is on the back of the card. You dont have to give away the store. Give your referring Yoga students free classes, a T-shirt, strap, block, mat, $10.00, or whatever you can afford. Most of all, say, thank you to each active Yoga student who gives referrals. Some of your students just wont take a reward, but all of them want to be thanked. Student retention is one area that most Yoga teachers do not give enough consideration. You have to protect, satisfy, and keep, your active Yoga students. In any other business, these are called repeat customers, and your Yoga students should be treated like gold, since they are much more than customers. Your students are loyal and will allow you to remain a Yoga teacher for years to come. You will have time to pursue Yogic knowledge, due to the loyalty of your Yoga students. Never take your Yoga students for granted, abuse them in any way, or adopt an air of superiority. Everyone is good at something, and we have to keep the big picture in perspective: A Yoga teacher should be humble at all times.
